Beach-Club - November 2003

This Month we have - briefly, only two-or-three minor-things to report, and this web-page will be 'updated' (sooner rather than later, I hope!) - today is 12 November, 2003 (Wednesday)...

1.) we have SOLD our "BeachClub" on-the-water-house at 8 Perriwinkle and will be closing this sale on 26 November, 2003, at 09:30 a.m., and no longer be 'waterfront owners' - it's a sad-day in our lives to leave this paradise with our own Indian River beachfront, BUT - life must go-on

2.) we have put a contract ON and it has been ACCEPTED at 5011 S.E. Great Pocket Trail,  Stuart, Florid 34997 (and YES _ there is "DSL" capability there).

Today is 19 November (a Wednesday) and we did 'inspections' yesterday morning and we think all looks well - there's some minor hiccups here and there - mostly wood-rot and such but other than that it looks better than we expected.   We've, then, told the lawyer, et. al., we'll take it - so I think the next step is more deposit money tomorrow (Thursday 20th) and then closing on the 15th of December and moving starting that afternoon...

We are still scheduled to close on the selling of this house (8 Perriwinkle) on 26 November - less than a week
away...

3.) we are HOPING that Great Pocket will yield us a wonderful home - it is a small 2/3 home
on a 1 acre lot (capable of subdividing into two 1/2 acre lots) with a small out-building which
is about 500-600 square feet with a small office for Ms. May's pottery and a small shop
for Mr. Bill with a small loft that will be great for sewing...

some pictures, taken by the selling-listing-agent (Pat Rydell (who sold us this house at 8 Perriwinkle
just about 4 years ago!) are in this directory click-here

4.) we have finished assisting the running of the Olympic Boardsailing Selection Trials,
here at the US Sailing Center of Martin County (right nearby, and sailing on our Indian
River)... We'had seven days of racing with two races each day, for both men and women, for a total of 14 races (16 were scheduled, not enough wind on Friday, 14th)... - the winners will go to the Olympics

5.) Kiteboarding was EXCELLENT during "Halloween Week" and the wind has been
EXCELLENT this last week for the boardsailing regatta, and I got out one-day for a while
on my 7 square meter kite. but other than that have been too exhausted after helping the
regatta each day...

anyway - more later this month - as things develop...
