February, 2006 - well this month
has been 'slow' to say the least, today's the 21st - not much to
report...
New Breakfast menu item (recent invention at GPT - by Ms. May and Mr.
Bill)
- made from "Pillsbury Grands Flakey Biskits and some fresh and some
frozen-fruit"
AND - While we're on the subject
of 'food' items - here's a couple of Ms. May's new 'inventions' - that
we've found very tasty as afternoon snack and then veggie-medley for
dinner?
some pictures of Ms. May's flowering-plants and things - VERY BEAUTIFUL
and - remember at least ONE cat picture per month!
here's a couple of pictures --- when we went kayaking on the morning of
Sunday, 19 Feb. Found the tide VERY VERY LOW - definately
the lowest we'd ever seen it and got to the end of our 'cut' - and
decided that to try and do our typical 'loop' would require a lot of
pushing and pulling while sinking up to our ankles - so we gave-up and
came back the south-way... Upon which we found a very VERY LARGE boat
going VERY SLOWLY, who's wake put an inch of VERY COLD water in Mr.
Bill's kayak, and a bit less in Ms. May's - which left us with very
chilly buns...
anyway - a couple of pictures - click on either for 4x sized picture if
you want?
Ms. May looking beautiful in the 'cut'.
Mr. Bill's view of the "Island" near the cut...
by the way - just FYI for those who care - the new Toyota Van works
great with the kayaks on top, but we need to re-engineer our
add-on-cross-rails because there's not enough room to put them upside
down - we'll have a picture of that once it's complete - maybe a good
Sunday afternoon project, huh?
Here's the lunch-time picture - and JUST
in case you can't read the sticker off the tomatoe, it says "Ugly Ripe"
!!!
Here's a couple of cat-pictures -
got to have our monthly cat-pictures you know
Ms. Tigger holds-onto the best tomatoe of the month... (please note you
can read about these "Ugly Ripe" tomatoes in the February issue of
"Gourment" magazine - article starts on page 68 in this issue. An item
written by an obviously northern-er-ly oriented individual upset by the
fact that the Florida Tomatoe Commission (FTC) doesn't allow shipment
of Ugly Ripes to the northern climes during the 'winter' (October
through May or something like that) - so we, here in Florida, get the
benefit of the "Ugly Ripe" version(s) during the winter - one of the
better things about living in Florida...
Mr. Bill and Ms. Tigger in Mr. Bill's recently found chair (January
2006 - found in Manatee Pocket) matches the OTHER CHAIR he found while
kayaking after hurricane Wilma, last fall, - about 4-5 months ago - so
now we have two matching lawn-chairs - and all we had to do was wash
them off... - pretty good!
Oh - by the way - in terms of finding things while out on the water -
found, today (19 Feb) another baseball cap - says "Florida Sportsman"
on the back, but it's a pretty good hat!
that's it for February - but Today is Sunday, the 19th - maybe
more,
later in the month...
PS: we watered all our brown weeds yesterday - so maybe something will
grow, now?!
