US Sailing Center of Martin County ---- (more - general) weather information

This web-page presents further data - both observed and calculated,  about the 'weather' at USSCMC.  "Outside" temperature and  humidity is observed by sensors on the same pole as the anemometer at / on the end of the dock.    "Inside" temperature and humidity is taken / read by sensors inside the Vantage Pro2 weather station inside the Center's office(s) on the second floor of the building.   "Rain" amount is since mid-night, and the wind-chill number is calculated from wind-speed and temperature.

The item labeled "THW Index (F)" means "Temperature Humidity Wind" index, and attempts to calculate a 'perception of temperature' based on the three variables that name the index.      How 'accurate' it is based on human perceptions is up for debate, but we supply it here because the Davis Instruments software makes the calculation for us.  Lastly, the date - time stamp at the bottom of each of these observed or calculated image-items is the time that particular observation was taken or calculated...
